Meader And Meder Elected CFA Institute’s Chair And Vice-Chair, Respectively
NEW YORK – CFA Institute announced that Dan S. Meader has been elected chair of its board of governors for the standard one-year term, effective Sept. 1, 2011. Meader is the founder and managing partner of Trinity Private Equity Group, LP, an investment advisory and private equity investment firm located in Southlake, TX.
Elected vice-chair of the 18-member board was Alan M. Meder, SVP of Chicago-based Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co. and the chief risk officer and principal financial officer of three investment companies.
New chair Meader succeeds Margaret Franklin, president of Kinsale Wealth Management in Toronto, Canada. Franklin will continue to serve on the board as immediate past chair.
New incoming first term governors elected were: Attila Koksal (Turkey), Frederic P. Lebel (Switzerland), and Matthew H. Scanlan (United States). In addition, four governors – including Meder – were elected to serve a second three-year term that also commenced on Sept. 1. The three others are: Saeed Al-Hajeri (United Arab Emirates), Jane Shao, (China), and Roger Urwin (United Kingdom).
